From Telehealth ABA World to AUTALNET
Loukia Tsami founded the Telehealth ABA World Project in 2014, an initiative based at the University of Houston Clear Lake that has provided free behavior analysis services to parents and educators of children with autism and other disabilities in 46 countries. The project’s mission is to enhance the quality of life for families in underserved communities lacking access to behavioral services while supporting educators and healthcare professionals with evidence-based strategies to teach new skills and reduce problem behaviors.
Over the past decade, our team has collaborated with hundreds of professionals and caregivers across diverse settings, including hospitals, schools, clinics, research centers, places of worship, universities, and local governments. However, while telehealth has allowed us to reach many communities, it also poses challenges in terms of long-term sustainability and broader impact.
To build on the foundation laid by Telehealth ABA World, we have launched the Autism Ally Movement to raise funds for the creation of AUTALNET, a global, sustainable, and culturally responsive system. AUTALNET will provide vocational training and create meaningful employment opportunities for thousands of autistic individuals.
Beyond its direct impact, AUTALNET will document its processes and methods in peer-reviewed publications, ensuring that the model can be replicated in other communities globally. We invite you to support our project through donations, or by purchasing Autism Ally products from our online store, helping us secure the necessary funds to make this vision a reality. Together, we can create the world we want; a world of inclusion, opportunity, and support for all.
